The Iditarod Mushers Banquet is the annual banquet fundraiser and drawing for the official start order. The banquet celebrates the mushers who are about to take part in the “Last Great Race on Earth®” – the nearly 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The annual banquet fundraiser will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 6 p.m., at the Dena’ina Civic & Convention Center in downtown Anchorage where attendees can help raise funds for the Iditarod via a robust live and silent auction while enjoying a meal and watching the mushers take the stage to draw for their official start order. All proceeds raised at this fundraiser go towards the implementation of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
There will be no autograph opportunities at the fundraising banquet.
The Iditarod Trail Committee is hosting a Musher Meet & Greet for fans to get an autograph and spend one-on-one time with the mushers before they head out on the trail. The Musher Meet & Greet will be guests’ only chance to get autographs and interact with the mushers before the fundraising banquet begins. The Meet & Greet will feature light appetizers and a no-host bar. The Meet & Greet will take place prior to the banquet at 4 p.m. at the Dena’ina Civic & Convention Center.
Please note, all Mushers Banquet tickets come with complimentary admission to the Musher Meet & Greet which will take place prior to the banquet.
